I have purchased LED turn signal replacements from Morimoto and got the 40W/7.5OHM single T Tap kit resistor to go with them. Having a 2nd gen, I have run across some forums and web sites that say using a resistor will not stop hyper flash on the 2nd gen trucks, you have to change out the relay under the instrument panel. What has experience told y'all about this?
    THANKS!

    No....

Using a resistor WILL control hyper flash...... You will need one resistor per LED. (IMO, T-taps should be avoided, as they don't they don't provide a robust, wire splice connection)

Thanks for the feedback. I agree about the T-taps, I plan on soldering the connections.

You can change the relay -or- use resisters.
There is also a third option - remove the relay, open it and file down a thick solid wire to change it's resistance (or something) to get rid of hyper-flash. I did it and it works. If I can find the how-to post that I followed, I'll link it.
