Thanks to this thread, I was able to secure a 10L scepter under an Extang Solid Fold 2.0 The 10L works under the locking clamp handles.

    Great mod!
These tarp straps work well, as the hook fits in the small hole in the bed rail cleat. They also work with the hole in Front Runner boxes.

Since this thread is revived, I should contribute with my discovery on what product works perfectly with this mod.

Look up "adjustable length bungee." You're welcome.

They worked great, used them with two nylon straps to secure a water jug while on a 10 day road trip. No complaints.

Wanted to add that the 20L military/scepter jug was too tall for my tonneau cover to close and I had to attach it lying on its side. Not a big deal, didn’t leak when lying on its side with the lids snugged tight. Just something to think about when choosing a water jug.

thanks to this thread, I now have the perfect no frills kitchen set up . Will replace it with a 10 ft hose for better reach . Collapsible sink and plate holder. The pressurized scepter can will be powered with rechargeable pump with auto shutoff at 15psi.

Anyone have a current link to these D-rings? Or some that will are corrosion resistant? Amazon links all seem to mention they rust quickly.

    Thanks!

In my experience the adjustable bungees gradually loosen if you don’t pull some excess bungee length through the brake and tie an overhand “safety knot” behind it.

Just a suggestion for when you’re deciding what length bungee to buy: make sure they are a little longer than you think you need so you have some length to tie the overhand.

I’ll chime in again while this thread has made its way back to the top.

If you need anything accessories for your scepter style jug JAGMTE has good stuff. I’ve been using his siphon cap and love it. He also sells pressurize caps as well.
