So, yesterday I'm assuming it got pretty dusty between the hinges, went to open it and like a hulk I broke the lower hinge at the fuel door - WD40 DID get it to open the full way but I noticed today that the hinge broke off to the left of where the pop rivets are.

Thanks guys, guess I should lay off the STEROIDS

I got mine from a Toyota dealer thru Ebay. It came primed in black so I did have to paint it. As mentioned there are one for long and short bed.

Does the OEM replacement come with the back bracket, rivets and hinge?

OEM replacement comes with door, hinges, and bracket as a single unit. I took my old door off of my broken hinge/bracket and put it on the new one to keep from having to paint the new OEM primered one. Does not come with rivets, per a suggestion from another thread, I used rubber well nuts to secure the new door assembly back on. Have not had any issues with them. The stock rivets are supremely overkill imo, for only holding on the fuel door lol.

Thank you, Dawg! I ordered one from my local deal and they claim is comes primed black. If it looks bad, I will swap it out with the old one as you suggest until I can get it painted. My old one has a slight warp to it from me attempting to wrench the hinge using the door itself. Dumb, yeah.

My hinge broke, so i drilled out the rivets, removed the broken hinge and riveted in a marine stainless hinge that i had leftover from a boat project. I have a magnet keeping it closed because the plastic latch snapped off years ago.

Anyone know how to search for the inner plastic latching mechanism? the male side broke off my door and caused my issues. I'll need to replace it as well as my door.

If you're talking about the little black plastic nub thing that it clicks onto I think the part number is 77367-35010. I got mine for a couple bucks at the dealer, they called it a latch stopper or something. Amazon had a good price on the fuel door assembly itself.

Thanks I thought I’d need the whole assembly around the gas cap but this might suffice. I appreciate the reply!
