I cant find anything online about this so i figured id make an account and see what happened

Im in need of a new rear driver-side door shell for a 2023 double-cab, and since the model year is still relatively new there are very few scrap yard options. Painting isn't a problem so the color doesn't really matter. Would an older model year door shell (2016-2022) fit my 2023?

Id prefer not to get insurance involved as its really a minor issue. The door still functions fine and there is no structural damage. I just don't want to look at the damn thing for the next 10 years...

If anybody has experience with this or something similar, any help would be appreciated.

How much damage is to the panel? Perhaps pointless dent repair would help?

not the best picture, but this is the damage.

The paint is scuffed on the middle third of the door with a large shallow dent. The bottom third of the door has paint scrapped down to bare metal and primer, along with a (roughly) wrinkled dent where the door skin is compressed against the support bar inside the door.

Normally I would repair damage to a door, but due to the size and central location, I agree that replacement is your best option.
Repairing such a dent would likely result in the repair failing and cracking off due to opening and closing the door causing flex.
You should be able to use any door from 2016 to now, but you will still want to get the newest door you can find to eliminate possible issues with damage or rust on the new panel.
