My wife and I use Venmo a ton to reimburse each other for family expenses, or I should say we did. it was pretty convenient for that sort of thing.

we finally made a joint checking account through USAA though for family stuff, it was just getting too crazy using Venmo constantly or having to do accounting at the end of every month to settle up

Not really, makes it easier. More evidence than cash or check and I don't need her account number and she doesn't need mine.

It's risky on the seller's end because the buyer can open a dispute for pretty much any reason and without evidence of the condition of the item and terms beforehand, you could be SoL. Paypal/Ebay usually take the buyer's word over the sellers, but I'm happy to use it for Ebay since they're generally very good about sorting disputes since you have the whole paper trail.

Venmo and Cash App I've heard are the opposite. You don't want to accidentally send someone money cuz you wont get it back

They're doing something to come after people that pay for services with Venmo, IRS wants their tax money. Remember hearing about it awhile ago, lot of people using Venmo to pay under the table. We try to always pay the babysitter with cash for that reason

I'd say there's a difference between using PayPal when you're actively having a conversation with a buyer/seller and dealing with regular scum people you never talk to.

Which one is this scenario? In my experience unless it's 'friends and family' you just described the same person

Regarding the buy vs. lease the biggest problem is the Mileage penalty when returned and modifying a vehicle. Also if you decide the vehicle isn't right for you after 18mo on a 3 year lease the buyout can be ridiculous? With a Buy you still have more control. If you are just buying cars every 3 yrs and just want not to deal with anything a Lease might be fine. But you are very locked into a lease vs purchase.

    Oh boy.
(Personally more interested in the new 4Runner. Saw the new Taco (and 4R) will have hybrid option. And a big ugly TRDPro logo tailgate for the Tacoma.)
