There are some grills by the shelter. I have been planning on just having everyone do whatever they want, but there was some talk last year about trying to organize meals. @pearing made tacos for everyone last October, and it was fantastic!

But, we're going to have over 20 people, so if there is to be a group dinner arrangement, we might have to split up the responsibilities. I am open to something like this, but don't have any ideas off the top of my head.

One thing that would be easy, would be brats. I would be happy to pitch in on something like that. One of these years, I'm going to learn how to make a proper paella for a large group, lol. :)

Maybe we can just get those grills going, and everyone can take turns making whatever they brought. If a bunch of people are thinking about doing steaks, I'd be happy to make a big batch of caramelized mushrooms and onions for a side

I was thinking of bringing brats. I could bring my Smokey Joe also. Agreed, a group this big would be almost as hard to coordinate as doing the restaurant thing. I'm good with the do your own thing, just wanted to check.

I'm on board with do your own thing. Takes the stress out of it when you're only responsible for yourself. @Thatbassguy if you want to do those mushrooms and onions though I'll be waiting with a big spoon for a scoop of that!

Okay. No guarantees, but I will put that on my shopping list. That reminds me, I need to go get some propane, and a nice pot to keep in that pop up. :)

20 is too many for me... I have made plans with the Moab crew. I think that at this late date, you do you for food, should be the modus operandi...

The pop up is making it's TW debut? Didn't I put a full or almost full propane tank on it?

That's fine. But, I might have to start a poll to see if everybody wants tacos in Tigerton. :D

I'll be willing to help out. :)

I suppose I didn't bother to check what level that tank is at. I meant to go through everything this past weekend, but I ended up being a lazy piece of shit instead, because it was one of those rare weekends where I didn't have anywhere to be.

I did pop it up in the driveway and double check some things. But, I definitely did not go through it with a fine tooth comb, so I'm pretty much just winging it in Wyalusing

Well…. I have a large Coleman and even larger griddle. We could go full on with it or try cheesy onion hash browns for breakfast. It’s done well for larger groups in the past

I'll supervise. I'm a big fan of hash browns, and I make my own from scratch regularly. But, I can never seem to duplicate what good restaurant hash browns are like.

You fail to realize. Yours are perfect. The flaw being that your mom didn’t cook them. They taste identical, yet…. They don’t.

I'll be there earlier on Friday and I'm happy to help out with it. Yeah, should be plenty of propane in that tank, but if you have some time this weekend you may want to check on the gas lines on the camper if you're planning to use the stove. I think I recall that line on the outside by the door gave me some trouble last time I used it, but I also think I was drunk when I was trying to hook it up. :drunk:

To keep it simple, agreed with @pearing - everyone should bring their own meals, but feel free to bring something to share.

I suppose I better look into that. I could see myself having the same problem.

Maybe I'll get everything set up early on Friday before the shenanigans.

When I was young, a millennia ago, I was a short order cook for Sunday morning breakfast. No guarantees though
Btw, I’ll be there a day early. For testing…
Well, to be honest, cabin fever is not good.

If there aren't any surprises at work, I might be up there Thursday night as well. We'll see.

I planned a work meeting with a client based in Prairie du Chien for 1:00pm next week Friday - as soon as that ends I'll be there.

I might just whip up a batch of hot peanuts to bring along. Haven't done that in a while. They aren't too hot.
