    Two of my older brothers and my dad had bugs( 59' 69' and Squareback) but I haven't committed to one yet. I would really only want the Type 3 Notch but that is going to be tuff work on my budget. They look so good though.

    Snugtop cab high canopy.
    I had to do that on my Fiat 124 once, I used p-cord or a shoe lace. The hood opened forward so I could run the shoe lace to the throttle arm on the carburetor. This was a temporary fix. That car had a hand throttle too.

    This is my long gone 1968 Beetle. Zenith Blue color. I bought it used from a friend in 1972 or 1973, not long after this picture was taken in his garage. It even had a sunroof! First thing I did when I bought it was peel off that racing stripe. Then took it to get the new clutch that it needed. I sold in 1977 or 1978.

    Had a 1971 Karman Ghia that was my high school project in automotive shop. Back then JC Whitney was the go to for parts for them. I have some pictures I'll scan and post.
