‘Dad Shred build thread’ double locked & 5:29’s SOLD, now 2014 tundra cm TRD OR

First wash & title / registration completed today. Went to a 3rd party DMV business that made the whole process take about 6 minutes. Previous owner took great care of the truck & under all the PNW grime the paint is in incredible shape. Boys helped of course & my daughter watched my oldest remove the WA license plates. I’ve played the heavily modified truck game at high stakes & for the foreseeable future - I’m over it. So this truck will be getting some nice 275/70r18 tires & some lighting upgrades & tint & maybe an axle back or catback exhaust & that’s it. She is just so good in stock form right now. Last pics shows how good these trucks look with those tires & LED headlights & that’s about it. Also I have to say the way this truck currently sits as far as ride height and rake, with the shell on it is just so perfect. I absolutely love it. It’s insane how nice full sized trucks are. So much power & comfort & even just the stock exhaust has the nicest rumble in low RPM’s. This truck feels so tight, the steering & tracking / driving. It feels brand new & I would like to keep it that way

 

Debadged the 10yr old “TUNDRA” door letters, compound & polished that spot & cleaned up the headlights while I was at it. I freaking love this truck.

 

Off to Idaho in the very capable hands of Grafton. She will be righteously missed, what a great truck she has been.

 

In other news, I’ve always wanted to try out Ridge Grapplers and I put some freshies on the tundra & a refreshed spare too.

 

gonna miss the old build! but congrats on the new truck man! time to get some dirtbikes to keep that itch of offroading! thats basically what i did lol

 

Nice Tundra, Congrats ! ... did you have any trouble mounting the new size spare under the bed ? Also, nice job removing side steps .. did the same and the look is 100% better.
Plus had no need. Side steps? ,.. we don't need no stinking sidesteps!

 

Full size rigs are meant for just that cruising, haulin' stuff, and maybe hit a dirt road to a remote campsite. I just picked up me a full size rig too but kept all the toys just needed something more comfy to haul stuff around. So good. The tundra's sound good with a good exhaust!

wanted to chime in and say i can relate, nap mods!!!!! 12pm for me on weekend, otherwise you must be very familiar with the >7PM when the kids go to sleep mod-time.
