I recently needed 4wd while driving through mud and I put my truck in 4 wheel and there was no issue it went right in but when I went to take it out it wouldn’t disengage at all. It got to the point where I had to take off the actuator and manually put it into 2wd myself. Now I can put my truck in 4wd with no issue but when I go to 4 low the lights just flash. Also when I put it back into 2 wheel it won’t unless I take off the actuator and put it back manually again. I’ve read countless posts and I cant find anyone who has had the same exact issue as me and I was wondering if anyone knows what the problem could be? I’m thinking it’s a issue with the actuator itself but not 100% sure.

How often have you used 4WD since you had the truck?
There are a few quirks sometimes. They include speed, wheel turning, and for Low Range, need to be in N not P (automatics).

I use 4wd probably once every 2-3 months or so with some longer periods of time between, I’ve been putting it in N and I’ve tried every trick with turning the truck off or reversing and turning a little
