This is a really strong reaction to a social media account being posted. Perhaps a better way to provide security for a family is to not take payment for 52 weeks of services and fail to provide those services. Just wait until bankruptcy proceedings start sending home addresses to everyone they screwed out of funds.

Everyone who was a victim of fraud or theft needs to file a police report with their local law enforcement agencies. This is the only recourse we have.

    https://www.lvmpd.com/en-us/RecordsFingerprintBureau/Pages/FilingAReport.aspx

Edit: 4/10/23 - I was able to contact LV Metro Police Department. Due to the nature of this crime it cannot be filed online or over the phone. The sheriff department local to any victims must submit a "courtesy report" on our behalf. Please call your local sheriff's department.

This is also a good resource for people who need detailed info for their police report, lawyer, etc. Plug "bx built" and "aspect of style" individually into the search function for more LLC related details.

Any progress in your case against bx? Seem like SRQ has significant leverage against bx considering the amount of money and product they have stolen. I am still working towards a resolution with my bank and local sheriffs department.

Anyone else have a positive result to their case?

Considering bx built's shady practices, who in this niche is actually reputable? Since I just bought a 2003 Taco I'd like to have more modern headlights. Any recommendations? Companies that you've actually had a positive experience/outcome. Has a good product and not insane lead times?

We built headlights in-house prior to outsourcing to BX Built. Since BX Built went under we have sourced our own components and built out a retrofit team. Currently, we are just focused on making customer whole who had orders placed through us with BX Built but do have retrofit options up on our website. Our prebuilt options for 3rd gen 4Runners ship out in about 2 weeks from the order date. We hope to expand this option into the Tacoma market soon.

The standard business model for most fab companies is horrible, and pretty much a recipe for failure. When paying for something to be made in advance, you are not actually paying the business to build your item, you are paying them to build whatever is currently next in the queue. This is essentially a ponzi scheme. If the owner is not escrowing the payments, they will fail eventually.

The proper business model should invoice for work once complete, with a deposit to keep customers from backing out on a whim.

I think when they start off, the first few rounds of buyers are paying for their own materials essentially for their bumper order, but as the mismanagement starts to unfold and pile up, or material costs change, they end up behind like you are saying. And essentially they rob from Peter to pay Paul.

I saw an Instagram post for a new Tacoma bumper company who was taking preorders the other day for a first round and was thinking to myself how it was a recipe for eventual failure.

I guess I understand why fab outfits start this way and some appear at least to have really good management and don’t go ham with preorders and burying themselves in sales that they can’t handle.

The biggest clue is if you see a company who has some glaringly mixed reviews on getting product shipped out and they start running massive group buys, it’s probably time to bail on an order.

    Bummer. Sorry this happened.

I decided to try TEQ. Bought a basic set with just some front halos nothing fancy. I'll report back.

if u have the time and patience, a drop in projector retrofit on a 1st/2nd gen tacoma is pretty simple
i did mine a couple weeks ago, the hardest part is baking and prying the headlights apart

Already pulled the trigger. Keeping the economy afloat. But perhaps on my 4th gen 4runner?
