Advice On Play & Loose / Free Boot on Steering Column

    Is that boot supposed to be up higher or slid down? Not sure what's going on with it and whether or not the looseness is normal or something to consider repair/maintenance on..

    Pretty sure that little boot goes upward to seal the passage through the firewall.

    Is the little bit of play normal? It doesn't seem loose, but not rock solid either, so not sure if it's normal atm and I just need to re-fix the boot upward or focus more on a repair/replacement..
