Hi folks. I am looking at finding someone that know's a little about this. I would like to get a tool box in my AC cab bed and find ones for $250 to 1600 bones. I am looking to spend around $750. Would love to hear experiences of folks that own them. Been searching with Duck Duck Go and there really is not a lot out there except lame Amazon reviews. Is there a thread I should look at? Thanks in advance!

WeatherGuard. End of story. Black or polished. Deep or shallow. Had one in my 16.

    I'd say camlocker.
Although the above recommendation is a good one.

search camlocker. There have been a few threads on the subject in the past several months. They will have info about other brands too.

I got a deezee in 2002 for my 1992 toyota pickup. I still have the box over 20 years later, its been in and out of trucks and the back yard since then. Still looks and works great, though I lost the keys long ago.

I did put it in my tacoma for a short bit and it worked great in there.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
UWS but the quality has fallen off. For the love of god get a low profile. I had the Toyota OEM Tacoma box on my 07 and absolutely loved it. I now have a UWS low profile on my Silverado and had it sprayed with Line-X and I am happy with it.

Thank you all for your replies! I will check them all out. Yes low profile is definitely a must.

Duck Duck Go misses a lot of things when searching. Yea it's private, but it also provides a less than accurate result.

Thank you hiPSI. You're right about that and that is why I mentioned it. Thanks again for everyones help. I now have a lot of leads. It is down to the WeatherGaurd or UWS. The latter is kinda taking the lead due to price but in the end...it's really only $250 bones. I almost got a tonue cover but I wanted something more secure and I think the truck boxes look really good on the AC cab.

I have UWS in both of my trucks, one is 17 years old, the other is 7 year.
    20160416_091053 (1).jpg

Have never had a problem with either box but when I ordered my last one from Amazon it came dented in shipping. It wasn't packaged very well but the damage wasn't too bad, only cosmetic and didn't affect operation. I would try to find a better vendor if I were you if you care about something like that.

Whatever you choose look for a local dealer or do a ship to store so you can inspect it first. I have never seen one that was shipped to home that did not arrive damaged. If you have a tractor supply in your area they have some better built brand boxes that are pretty good.

Weatherguard is good but you won’t have much truck bed left!

I own a UWS but have used Weather Guard in the past, both brand are good, I bought my UWS from a small truck outfitting shop out in the sticks who sells scratch and dent ones for cheap, it was around 10 years ago but I want to say I only paid around $200 or so for a 18 inch deep chrome USW low profile, it had a dent on a bottom corner but I've added other small dents over the years so I don't care. The only feature I've seen that sometimes I wish I had is the lid rail so I could strap things down on top of it when I run out of bed space.
