I’ve finally started down the road of taking off this horrible idea called paint protection. The mirrors were easy and the hood scoop. The hood itself is a pain. It’s left residue EVERYWHERE. I’ve been getting after it with goof off and elbow grease, but it just seems to be much more difficult than it should be.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to go about this an easier way?

You could try using an adhesive remover wheel on a drill. Or just take it to a detailer and have a professional do it.

If you have a CarQuest or NAPA store, pick up some 3M General Purpose Adhesive remover. It’s not cheap but it works great on MOST adhesive residue. Sometimes it just takes a lot of elbow grease though. I have many years of experience at an automotive decal shop. Also never liked the rubber wheels. Power tools don’t belong that close to your paint.
