Hello! So my 2000 automatic is getting stuck in park. It eventually releases and I’m able to drive away. Wondering what it could be. Will check the transmission fluid today but wanted to pick everyone brain. Thanks! (Abs light is on as well although braking and E-Brake work just fine)

Bushings in the shift lever is usually the cause. As far as ABS light, check brake fluid level.

Will that work for a column shifter as well? Sorry forgot to mention it was a column.

You have two separate issues. The ABS light is not related to your sticking gear shifter. I am not as familiar with the 5 lug gear shifter. It could be a worn bushing similar to the 6 lug AT shifter, or another worn part. Or it could be something with the shift lock circuit.

Here is the video I have for diagnosing the ABS light issue:

I was looking through the FSM, but the 03 version doesn't have any information for the 00 column shifter. Sorry. Looks like you'll need to hope someone with an earlier version of the FSM to come along.
