I loved my gen1 tundra till they grew full size like the domestics. I just didn't need a truck that large with the same 6' bed. The gen3 tacoma I now have isn't perfect having a bed less than 4' between the rear wheel wells, but it was the next best thing to my old tundra.

So how much over MSRP did you pay in "market correction" and/or "mandatory" dealer installed options?

So far I like the Tundra a lot. Loved my Tacoma and never felt sad trading in an old ride but did with the Tacoma.

    TUNDRA PROS:

    1. More space in the cab and the box is a plus.
    2. Transmission is smooth and doesn’t hunt.
    3. 14” screen with carplay is magic.
    4. Seating position more truck like. ( legs not pointing straight forward)
    5. Power down low in RPM range and all the way up.
    6. Tows like a truck and it should being full sized.
    7. Rear Disk Brakes because its 2023.

    TACOMA PROS:

    1. Slim Truck so its easy to drive trails or busy streets.
    2. Easy on fuel if you drive for economy.
    3. Tons of mods available for Tacoma.
    4. Great looking timeless style.
    5. Smooth car like ride on the Hwy.
    6. Fairly fast once you got the motor spun up to speed.
    7. Resale value is unmatched.

Both great trucks because great trucks is what Toyota is known for.

Congrats on your purchase. I’ve always been a fan of Tacoma’s larger sidekick.

    Congrats
Good Luck with the Tundra. At least you are still in a Toyota.
I realize people have different needs and reasons for choosing the trucks we drive.
Maybe there is a Tundra World forum.

You don’t have to leave, I didn’t, and won’t. But if you haven’t signed up to Tundras.com yet, you really should. Congrats on the Tundra!

Are 4Runner owners accepted? I made an account here the other day because I had been contemplating getting a Tacoma and wanted to do a little research. Doesn't mean I necessarily will, I just like message boards and Toyota's.
