Parked, pushed ignition to turn the truck off. Touch screen stays on, odometer stays on, door chime rings when I open the door, won’t let me lock it. Locks keep unlocking. Have to disconnect the battery. What is going on?

Gently slam it into Park then try turning it off. The sensor in the shifter may not know it is in Park.

There is NO sensor in the shifter. The parking/neutral position SWITCH is on the transmission.

    Door ajar perhaps?
Sitting in neutral and not Park?
Had the same problem once - forgot that I had parked by rolling backward (in neutral) to gently bump the curb. Was on the phone while doing this so I didn't shut it off right away. Once I finished the call, I shut it down, got out, and the chime wouldn't stop and I couldn't lock it. Turns out it was still in Neutral.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Unfortunately nothing has worked yet. The touch screen will not turn off no matter what I do, and the doors will not let me lock them. Just beeps and annoyance lol

Anything plugged in to your cig lighter outlets? Had a very similar issue when I was charging a GoPro that way. It was like…don’t even know what to call it….backfeeding? Once I unplugged that the truck turned off as normal. Took me forever to figure it out. Still confused by it to this day.

Thanks for the reply! I don’t have a cig outlet. Only a USB/AUX, and there is nothing plugged into it.

Anything plugged into the OBD port? I left a Bluetooth OBD adapter in a ford truck and it did exactly the same thing.

Sounds like an exorcism is needed. That, or Doc Brown needs to adjust your flux capacitor. Weird! Be sure to tell us what the issue was when you figure it out. I'm going out on a limb here and predicting you're going to find the spare fob sitting somewhere in the cabin of your truck!
