What are your favorite interior upgrades or quality-of-life things you have purchased for or done for your truck?

Things like seat covers, floor liners, storage, your favorite head unit, phone/media holders, etc.

Floor liners. Totally. First thing I bought for my truck almost 11 years ago.

Upgraded stereo system (not just headunit)..I had most of it already so I knew it would be going in.

I think I'm going to be going with Husky liners! I read many of threads on here (from all gen sub-forums) and it seems like Husky is highest rated. What kind do you have? Any recs for stereo stuff either? I am an audiophile, so not at all unfamiliar with that realm, but love to hear what others have.

I went Weathertech but I've heard good things about both. I'd definitely consider Husky if in the market again.

I just have a single DIN CD player, Pioneer. 2 amps and 6 speakers (Rockford Fosgate and MTX) with the custom Tacoma enclosure.

    What's this?

Exactly the type of idea I had when making this thread. I have an irreparably @#$^'d spine from the military. I bet this would be nice.

A member on here used to make them. I have a regular cab Tacoma and it fits right behind the seat, including having a notch for the bar running along the rear of the cab. It fits 12" subs and hits good.

This divider for the center console and glove box. So instead of a big bin, you have several smaller compartments within the bin. You can leave some of the dividers out to make some compartments bigger. Made in the USA. Well designed and perfect fit. My only complaint, they pretty much stay in place but they’re held in by gravity. So if you accidentally grab and pull on it it’ll move.

If you have a manual transmission, a short shifter. Sometimes I wish I went with the urd. The hurst core I got works great but there’s vibration noise. It’s not horribly annoying but it’s noticeable.

Shifter knob from sick speed. They have a few different shapes with multiple design choices. Also metal adapters, not plastic. The adapters don’t fit perfectly but a little blue lock tight and it’s been solid. I got the blue glow in the dark one. It’s larger than what came with the hurst and feels so much more comfortable in my hand.

Stereo, I went with a pioneer nex model. Pairs with the phone for hands free calls, text, google maps navigation, pandora, Waze, xm. I also added a backup camera and steering wheel button module.

Speakers, anything will be an upgrade.

For usefulness, removed rear jump seats. Installed hinged plywood floor. Not finished yet.

    Driveability, 2'' shifter extension.

For convenience, Weathertech floor liners & Cup phone holder. Love the liners. Phone holder is a mixed bag....sort of like it, and some days I don't.

For comfort, Katzkin leather covers & seat heaters. Muy bueno! Seriously, it took driving comfort up several notches. Cleaning is much easier too. The cloth seats were dust magnets.

For sounds, Kicker door speakers & sound mat. Even with stock head, it really improved things. More to come later.

At the least you have a liner tray versus just a mat, yup. Especially if you live in a place where it snows and don't have the crap from your boots run off the mat

Super White Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Cargo Net, Auto-Dim mirror w/Comp and Temp. TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification
    - Auto-dim rear view mirror w/compass and outside temperature display. Awesome upgrade and my favorite one as well.
    - WeatherTech Floorliners: The truck came with the oem all-weather mats when I got it and they aren't
bad really, but the WeatherTechs depth deals with the snow better.
    - TRD leather shift lever (auto trans) The leather and chrome/silver finish on the original one were a little beat up. The truck isn't a TRD, but the subtle red letters and black leather-stitched cover are a nice touch in the interior.
    - Upgraded the dome and map light lights to better bulbs: Sylvania's (incandescent) with a white/silver coat: much brighter than the weak yellowish oem bulbs.

addendum: Is there any way to keep multi-national vendors from gloming on and setting a link to re-direct to their site when you type in a brand name in here? It aggravates me. Only way I can think of is mis-spell it to the max, but then I look illiterate but I'll do it if that's what it takes. See above. Thank you

Magnetic phone holder that connects via the CD player. In my truck that puts the phone in my field of view when driving and the magnetic ones are nice cause you can easily just pop your phone on and off. I only listen to music via Spotify so no need for the CD player.

Desert Does It seat jackers. Was skeptical at first but bit the bullet and bought them and they really do make the seat position more comfortable.

+1 for the seat covers. I went for the 80’s style sheep skin big thick furry kind because I love them. They are super comfy but also practical as they are breathable and keep your temp just right whether it’s hot or cold out.

We maybe be a little biased, but we think our storage nets are a great addition to any Taco. Low cost, all function, able to carry all your light items with you but out of the way. Great for anyone with kids/pets, but useful enough just for the extra storage that these Tacos seriously lack.
