    Good morning!
I have an oil leak, I thought it was coming from the pan as it is rusted at the seam, but there seems to be leaking above the bottom pan too. Unless the oil is spraying up as I drive?

I have the part and have done this job on my car, but looking at the truck it looks like it will be a real pain, a lot of stuff in the way.

Has anyone changed the lower pan, do I need to remove anything to gain access?

i took a picture but can’t figure out how to get it in post.

    Thanks!!

Hello and Happy Easter if it applies! I also have an oil leak in a Tacoma very similar to yours, a 2007 2.7L. I wonder if you checked the oil filter after it's been sitting overnight or for several hours, if you see a drip forming. That's the case with mine. Research shows that could be a leak from the oil filter housing. I've attached a photo from my thread below. The thread itself is:

This is sideways, but you can see the rusted top of the pan

That one is towards the passenger side.

    The oil filter is dry.

Ok - looks like your situation may be different than mine, being the oil filter is dry.

There's many on this site with great advice and much experience, I'm not one of them! I will follow this thread though because the more knowledge the better.
