I'm really looking to buy a 3rd gen TRD, I'll have down payment by July or August. Do you think I'll be too late by then to catch an allocation, or should we still be seeing plenty of 3rd gen with introductions of 4th gen?

If you're really set on a Gen 3, then I'd find the money and start now if I were you. Most of the allocations are already spoken for well before they hit the dealers lot. They'll most likely be building 2024s by August.

the way they are selling, there is no telling.
There will be a ton of used, if you really want a 3rd, just be prepared to pay nearly new.

As stated, might be worth checking out the 4th gen and deciding. Unless you know for a fact you want a 3rd gen, then I'd start hunting if you are looking for specific color/trim etc.
