Did a critter eat my cigarette lighter?

Recently, some kind of small creature made a home in the under the hood of my 5ZE-FE, back right near the firewall as you face the truck. I didn't see any eaten up wires, just some insulation they tore from the hood to use as part of their nest. But...

Suddenly my cigarette lighter port isn't working. I've checked the fuse and it's fine. Is there chance that critter chewed anything in the engine bay that would cause this? Or was it just time for that lighter port to give up the ghost? Thanks.

I feel bad OP hasn't gotten a straight answer lol. I don't have experience with rats or anything chewing on my wiring, but I would be looking at any of the wires going into the firewall grommets. Otherwise it's gotta be another reason it stopped working unrelated to the nests under the hood. Check fuses

This fuse he's pointing to (15amp) is the one for the power outlets, check that one

It's less Tacoma and more mod
The cig lighter has a fusible link on its backside that can go bad too, have to replace the socket if that happens or solder new wire in
