My first post here. I’ve read thru a lot of tire posts, but I’m still uncertain the juice is worth the squeeze to replace my A30s with 2000 miles on them.

My taco: 2023 TRD Sport 4x4, Dbl cab, 6-ft bed

I am struggling with the idea of spending over $1000 on GY Adv with Kevlar or other ATs to increase tire size to 265/70r17. I’m not sure going from 65 to 70 is worth it. No plans to lift or doing any serious trails. Mostly want better wet & snow traction. I paid for the JBL system for a reason and not to overpower road noise from aggressive tires.

Your feedback is appreciated by those with TRD Sports that did the same. Thanks in advance!

They don't sell for much and last forever.

That said I did it, and many others have as well. I want my truck to look like a truck.

But at the same time, the A30's are quiet and smooth on the highway. I just drove 2 hours today and wished I had highway tires instead of my all terrains.

@gkbules your factory tires are sufficient in most driving conditions. You can only do better when it comes to traction off road with aftermarket tires. Leave your factory tires on until the need arises to swap them out. No reason to spend money if you don't have to. You should get about 40k on them before needing replacement. Whether you can wait till then or not is up to you. Discount Tire will allow for trade in as well. Something to consider.

My first set of tires after factory stock were Cooper Discoverer AT3s in 255/75/17. LOVED them. Super quiet for an AT and great on/off road manners. Second set has been GY Duratracs. They a good tire, but I hate the noise on them. Especially the highway drone that last for hours. Next chance I get I'm getting AT3s again.
