The cleanest and sturdiest part of that PreRunner. Lol. I don't know what class he raced in, but he loved that truck, even more after that turbo kit was mated with it, and tuned by @JustDSM . It was akin to Roadkill meets Baja.

 

If I could have changed one thing for that build, I would have used a Synapse Engineering BOV. It's design would have made it much harder to have debris intrusion. Given where that truck spent most of its time.

Be honest, did you find out about Black Widow exhaust from theCraig909?

 

I could have haha, but I am actually not sure. I seen it kicking around on here and other threads with all my amounts of reading lately, but then I just starting listening to sound clips on YT to figure out what I liked. I was torn between a Flowmaster or the Black widow and just decided to put black widow on the list, it is subject to change as I haven't bought it yet. Any other worthy recommendations?

 

I'd avoid the flowmaster, baffled mufflers are bad news in turbo systems, they're just restrictive. The black widow could be cool, I like how they sound on V8s. I'm probably going to use two Vibrant ultra quiet resonators in series and a cheap stainless glass pack. I'm not keen on V6 noises.

I found myself needing to know where the oil return line bung needs to be welded on the 5vz oil pan sooner that expected. Can someone hook me up with some pictures and or measurements? I've got my CV's out, now onto removing the dif

 

Hard to tell, but mine is behind the Ac compressor. Used a 1" 90 degree bend and welded to pan then welded -10 on top. The hose connects above oil level this way, so turbo/line can be removed without leaking. Had to cut a cresent wrench handle down to be able to fit in there.
