Spare Tire Max Size under truck storage

    2015 Tacoma Crew Cab 4x4 6ft Bed

    I'm thinking about putting A BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 on my 2015 4x4 Tacoma double cab. Size LT285/75R17 Load Range E. I was told they would fit my truck without modifications to the gears or body but would have to lose the front mud flaps. Does that sound right? Also, does anyone know if a spare tire the same size would fit in the space under the truck?
