I ended up being able to check the connection behind the mirror and got it to work, i guess it came loose from some trails or something

Does anyone know if the mirrors have changed in the last couple of years?
    I see a few after-market mirrors like these: https://www.1aauto.com/2016-19-toyo...trail-ridge-tr00406/i/1amrp02075/1172314/2019

Folks seem to have succeeded with them on 2016-2019, but I haven't seen anyone putting these on the newer trucks. Has Toyota changed the stock mirror or mount, or should I feel okay about putting these on a 2022?

I had the same question... I'm thinking about getting a set for my 2020 from somewhere with a decent return policy to see. Did you ever try?

I did; and the trail ridge mirrors work perfectly on my 2022 Tacoma.
To be specific, my mirrors are heated - they do not have the blind spot monitoring or the fancy turn signal. That may be what changed in 2019, but I don't have any certainty.

As you can see, I just got back from knocking some bugs out of the air.
Maybe I'm easy to please, but i was pretty impressed that when I flip them up, the motor controls up/down/left/right respect the new orientation.

Bummer...I had the flat black on my 2009 and was looking for same replacement on my 2018 but hate the chrome. Also a pain getting them to Canada
