    Hello everyone,

I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 2WD 3.5L with ~80k miles on it.

About 3 weeks ago to a month the check engine light on my truck turned on for the first time since I bought it brand new. I took it to the dealership (AutoNation) because when I purchased they truck they gave me a "Extended Warranty" on the engine and transmission.

They came to me saying that the code meant an air fuel ratio imbalance for port injectors. According to them, they removed the spark plugs from each cylinder and borescope cylinders and found nothing wrong (visually). They performed a test compression on all 6 cylinders and found that cylinder 1 was 50+ psi lower than than all others.

They said that the head gasket is breached on cylinder 1 and that a big repair needed to be perform -- bank 1 head gasket, heads, and valves replacement. This was something I was not very happy about since to me that truck is like brand new. They said that the extended warranty covers the repairs but it did not cover a rental. I fought for a rental a lot (even talked to the GM of the dealership) and they did not give me one. I have heard that AutoNation sucks but never experienced it until now.

My truck was in the shop 2 weeks, and they replaced only the intake valves and exhaust valves that correspond to cylinder 1 as well as the head assembly and the gaskets.

Overall, I wanted to write this post for any person that gets the same code in the future. When I researched I did not find a lot of information about that specific code so I went with what the dealership told me.
