I have a 2005 4wd Tacoma with a 3.5 inch rough country lift! When I got the lift put in they put 2 inch blocks in the back! I have felt like it has to much lift in the back where it doesn’t sit level so I want to put my old 1 inch blocks in! I have my old u bolts and was wondering how hard of a job it would be and what it would entail! Any advice is appreciated!

Long as you have jack stands for under the frame, a floor jack, this could definitely be a DYI, done this in my driveway few years back
You need to properly torque back down
    To proper ft pounds

    It’s not a difficult job.
But you should not reuse U-bolts.
You really should use new bolts if at all possible.

And before someone says, “They reuse theirs”, good for you.
It’s best to give the right advice when it comes to keeping an axle under the truck.

If you got 3.5” in front with a 1” block in the rear I’m betting you end up nose high.

It's an easy job. Make sure you block the front wheels so it doesn't roll on you and buy new u-bolts instead of reusing the old ones you have.
