camping setup - quick and cheap?

need to move to a new state for a couple of months and would rather invest in making my truck livable
than fork out $3k rent to some person I don't even know and never see the money back again

Is this possible to do quick and cheap? How?

-Converter
-Solar panel(s) on roof rack or hood if non-scoop
-Second self-contained battery
-switch 1st battery to AGM 27 Marine deep cycle
-roof rack(s)
-power/fuse panel(s)

I've heard you don't *really* need all of that stuff,
and that it's possible to just find a good fridge (maybe a used ARB), run their 12v wiring kit to the battery, and just have to drive once every 3 days for alternator to charge the battery
-with the Battery Protection mode set to medium or high
-being smart about how to use the fridge; ie keeping it full, not putting warm things in it, etc.

have not figured out cooking and bathroom yet

big priority is good nutrition to maintain and gain strength while working out regularly

In my research I've seen many posts about how a 100lb person survived to the next day on some almonds, or carrying 90 beers
but very little about hearty and healthy meals like a good breakfast, salmon, steak, chicken, eggs, pasta, etc.

If ARB, not really sure which of the 4 sizes is best
I know Jeep guys can only pick the tiny one because of tiny vehicle

I think there are mobile solar panels that can run out onto the ground, that fold out and face up

I lived in my Tacoma for two years in California. I got the Tacoma because I had a short bus I lived in for the 7 years before that. I loved being able to stand up in the bus BUT it was a target out there. People know your living in it and I never felt safe leaving it parked in some places. The Tacoma just offered a much more stealthy option. Just left it looking mostly stock with a Topper on the back. I never got a bang on the Tacoma in the middle of the night, The bus I had several "You can't park that thing here" moments, a couple times from the cops. Nothing bad ever happened but the Tacoma just blends in more.

Anytime Fitness is the best deal for 24 hour access to showers all over the country. Where are you moving Rural or Urban?

 

I love my tacoma, but I don’t think I could live in it. I would get a small travel trailer and find a campground to stay at.

Yep, got a gym membership plan to keep using it. Two-a-day workouts are good for you. And nobody's gonna show up to the gym just to shower; it'll force you to work out while you're there which is good.

Is it even possible without mods? I can't find any pics of stock.



There's still lots of configuration;
-facing forward
-facing sideways
-left small seat
-right big seat
-seats down, or seats up

Pros: seats up is a nice level flat platform, and if fridge sideways, air to cool
Cons: backside of that seat is slippery and slidey as hell
Stock Drawbacks: probably 0 tie down points (lid is at top) to secure and lock it down
Seat up: fridge blocks tilting seat, to access cubby storage
Seat down: you can reach the cubbies

I do have spare plywood (sanded, 3/4") from my bed platform
gonna look into making a fridge base. Can always postpone that to later though.

But I do wonder if there's a way to run it stock, to keep it quick cheap and simple.
And not have to deal with
a) throwing away precious seats, truck forever changed/reduced capacity
b) or having to keep those seat(s) taking up space in storage due to their big awkward bulky shape
