Anyone here know of any good trails in Virginia? My 2020 Tacoma is 4x4 and currently stock but I still want to get her a bit dirty. I’m new to the state so if any Virginians know of any decent trails that my truck can handle let me know. Thank you!

It would be helpful to know where in VA you are also. It's actually a fairly large state that you can break down into 3 sections (Nova, V Beach, SW).

Flagpole Knob is a pretty good one that is popular with alot of people. Like @virginiamarine said it’s a big state though.

I live in Charlottesville area. Not opposed to driving a couple hours for a good couple hours of off-roading. Always like to make a day out of things like that so anywhere within like idk a 3 hour drive or so isn’t too far for me.

Ah gotcha. I’m not too familiar with trails down there, I’m in MD so I know northern VA better. Although ironically I drove through Charlottesville yesterday coming back from a trip. What a beautiful area.

Flagpole knob is the only one I’ve actually been to but I guess that’s not really nova haha. You could try using onx offroad. That’s how I find a lot of trails. I think they offer a free trial. I pay for the subscription and it’s well worth it.

An hour and 20 minutes from C-ville will get you to the trails that lead to Flagpole knob.

Check the area around Switzer Dam in Rockingham county west of Harrisonburg. Also around Millboro Springs and the Craigsville area. The George Washington National web page can help.
