Good evening all - I'm tired, grumpy, had a long day of chaos

 

OP is always grumpy so you will fit right in here

 

I work at a whole animal butcher shop

co/worker's girl had her car broken into; he left and did not return b/c she was 'upset'
Lame - call the cops, file a report, call your insurance, get whatever shit out of the vehicle and deal with it on Monday when you can actually do something - this happened first thing and yet he never came back . . . . .

SO - all the food production still had to be done, make meatballs, roast beef, render lard, smoked pork skins, fish pate, pimento cheese, etc.. and help customers -
Add in that there was some event - snooty people event - in an adjacent space - so the coffeeshop closed early and I got screwed out of my afternoon cup, which made me really grumpy..
The only upside was that the two guys I closed with genuinely tried to help AND despite the horrid parking, no one pinned my truck in - one time I had to go back/forth like 5 times to get out of the space

We make everything in house, the meat is incredible but the sausages, the ham, the ground beef - is better than anywhere else - it just sometimes completely feels like a zoo

OMG I eat SO WELL b/c of this job - mostly for free -
Lots of stuff that isn't retail perfect or there the batch makes 20 1/2 tubs, so the 1/2 goes home with me
I have one boss who says "I don't think you need to pay for that" - OFTEN - mostly when I want ground beef or bacon
