Bought a 2023 this year and loving it. Reversed down the driveway onto the road the other day, stopped and put it in drive and the dashboard lit up and beeping. Quickly I put it into park so didn’t have time to see any errors on dash. Put it into drive again and was fine. Any thoughts on what the issue was? Maybe I was still rolling back a tiny bit when put in drive?

What lit up on dash? Center cluster screen? If so sometimes if you accidentally hit brake and gas pedal together that will light up with warning.

Yeah some lights on the main cluster. And it was beeping at me similar to if you try to put it into 4lo when not in neutral. Didn’t have time to see what lights cause I immediately put it into park. I hadn’t hit the gas yet.

Were you fully stopped, foot still on the brake when you shifted from R to D?

I thought so but that’s the only thing I could think of that could have caused it is that maybe I hadn’t full stopped backing up

No full stop equals lots of lights and noise.

Ok well that’s probably what it was. I’m usually careful about a full stop and never had that happen in previous autos so caught me by surprise.
