How do you guys pack your blankets when overlanding? I'm tired of using the thin flimsy bag that new comforters come in. Was thinking of a big kind of duffel bag but big enough for a comforter and wouldn't rip. Any suggestions?

Why not an appropriate temp range sleeping bag instead of blankets?

It's mostly cause of my wife, I'm not going out in any crazy low temps (no lower than 40°), but she's weird like that, she would rather use blankets

sounds like you need some of those plastic gun cases and a roof rack!

If you run a RTT you can usually just pack them in it folded up. If not, some waterproof totes in the bed with blankets, pillows, towels, etc are a cheap and easy solution

    Lol. Don't overthink this.

Any duffel will do. Water proof/resistant ones exist if you need them. Stuff sacks will work as well.

Fold the blankets up and put them in a drawer. That would work better if you utilized a 4x4 Sprinter van for camping.

I got some of these for my sleep gear. Blankets, pillows, liners and sleeping bag in its own compression sack. Packing up at camp if I'm lazy a garden trash bag works also.

How did I not even think about a stuff sack, I've used one for so long and didn't even think about it for these blankets

I also prefer blankets over a sleeping bag. I usually pack them in water proof totes in the box to free up room in the cab. Wish my RTT had more room when closed so I didn't have to haul them down the ladder every time we move camp
