Haha i knew you wouldnt keep that blue gasser for long. Diesel is just the way to go. Good idea swapping that fuel tank because they come with some small ass tanks from the factory (no clue why ford thought it was a good idea)

Brother just picked up a '18 last week, gonna send him these photos for inspiration on his build.

 

I got a good deal on the gasser and planned to keep it for at least a year, but it had rear captains chairs which sucked for the dogs. It did ok towing, 5 star tuning was a big improvement, but this diesel is so much nicer. We’re taking it to Charleston with the camper this weekend and will be able to go there, drive around, and back on a single tank.

 

Who did you use for the fuel tank? You did the install yourself?

My ram has a 28 gallon tank which is ok but 60 would be amazing. Fill up maybe once every 2 months

 

I got the tank from S&B Filters and installed it myself. It was pretty easy. I used cam lever straps to lower the original tank after disconnecting everything, then raised the empty new tank in place with my jack while balancing it with one hand, transferred fuel from original tank to a Jerry can and filled the new tank after install was complete.

 

the length and width of the new one is pretty significant. This is def a mod on my to-do list once i delete it.

It’s a big bitch . This truck has full weight loss and a 5 position switch with different 30-230hp tunes and full Pusher intake kit. It runs and sounds amazing.

FINALLY got my install complete after a bunch of issues. I’m running a URD quick change setup with 2.7 pulley, Figs coolant tank, and Ripp coil packs, and AEM boost and WB gauges in a flex pod mount. Waiting on JustDSM to get back to me for tuning.
