I clocked 25.8 the other day after doing 70+ on the interstate for over 30 miles. I'm convinced that an easy does it steady as she goes run up to cruising speed and staying there steady as she goes is the key to getting pretty darn good MPG in these trucks.

I've gotten 20+ on mine a lot. I notice when I zip around and lead-foot it and haul-azz for short distances I'm getting way less... but 20+ is easily achieved.

These trucks like to cruise at 1100 rpm for max economy and lower emissions. Then you have to suddenly pass someone.

    Best I've seen is 16.5

I'm sure it would be a fuck ton better if I was more gentle to the go pedal and if I didn't drive over 70 on the freeway.... just not gonna happen. I can live with that. YMMV.

I've gotten right at 22.5 MPG (average of 4 fills) in mixed driving with 1000 miles on the truck as of this morning. That's 22.5 MPG calculated the correct way.... Miles driven / gallons to fill (first click). My truck's computer has been between 1.2 and 1.5 MPG on the optimistic side. It's been my experience with many new vehicles that the computer calculation is ALWAYS optimistic.

Clean all that dust off and the weight reduction alone is worth another mpg
