Let me correct myself - I just bought a stock Tacoma and I'm wondering about the status of this build.

Boggles my mind to have a frame height of 23-24 inch with 40" tire.

I would not shy away from the Northwest fab crawlbox. It didn't work for me because I raised my engine almost 2 inches for clearance of front upper 3 link and engine mount. The thing I like the most about the crawlbox is that it is a 1 piece shaft, no adapters. I have seen many pictures online where people have had them fit the stock center console without much modifications.

20230416_150250.jpg Update. It's been really nice weather, so this weekend I started a project that I have been ignoring for a while. I have to move my fuse box because the shock towers are taking over the space. I can't tuck it back toward the firewall because the ford hydroboost and master is getting installed in place of the toyota brake booster. Added 18 inches to each wire so I can mount this fuse box behind the drivers side headlight.

Hopefully you solder the wires together and not use the cramp connector. Cramp connector ran rattle the wire loose over time or cause resistance.

The crimps I am using are solid. I've used these for years without issue. I've seen plenty of issues with both crimps and soldering. Usually the crimps and crimping tools people use are garbage. There really isn't a great way of doing this perfectly without re-making the harness completely. Which won't happen, because soon this truck is getting diesel swapped.

I'm looking into it, once I get the SAS done. I'll head down that rabbit hole.
    Thinking about a TDI swap.
