    Hello everyone!

Touching base with everyone here since I'm a bit confused. Just bought a new (to me) 2016 Tacoma SR. The interior radio is the base touchscreen display found commonly in the more low-end Tacomas. Just found an insane deal for an Entune 3.0 display from someone with a 2020 SX Tacoma and wondering if essentially it would be plug and play if I were to swap? Mines the dash bezel, I'm assuming it wouldn't be too much work? Normally I wouldn't find it to be an issue or be confused on the topic, but just upgrading from a base display to a 2.0 I would need the JDL to add on that I currently don't have. Not sure if I'd run into the same issue.

Not even close to plug n play. Harness is vastly different, if you search you’ll find more into in this forum.

Going after this video, it seems like I'd mostly just need the unit, the bezel, and the pigtail connectors. I could see the main issue is acquiring the connectors.

Yes, it’s not pigtail connector for plug n play though. Someone was going to make / making the connector harness, but you’ll also need to add missing antennas and then there is the whole cell interface that’s missing. So GPS / maps on HU may never work. (Obviously through CarPlay they will). But there is more info in the forum if you search.

Maybe the Joying head unit would be easier install. Has a fairly stock look.
