Yeah we just did the grocery for the week and they unfortunately don't have it at stop and shop. But it looks like they do have them at Walmart. I guess I know where I'll be going in the near future.

 

I saw them at a local (regional) grocer. They appear to have about a dozen varieties and likely paid for placement as it appeared to to have a specific placement (they didn’t spend big bucks, so it was low and to the side of the major players).

Did you smoke the beef fat separately or was it from another cook?

 

Roasted potatoes, Mississippi Roast, and Parmesan Crusted Brussel Sprouts

 

So I did a temp build on an old picnic table and a test cook for a grill pit to test it out before I fully commit and start mixing mortar.
End result; it’s a 9”x 10” cooking area using 16 fire bricks and works really well but needs another brick in length for a 10”x19” cooking area after mortar so a total of 20 bricks.

I got bored and smoked a brisket Friday night. I render all of the trimmings in a pan in the smoker during the same cook and use it when I wrap - no waste kitchen. With a little leftover and starving after the wrap, decided to use it for breakfast.

 

That looks amazing, great idea!

 

Not a dang thing wrong with any of that!

 

It must have been hard getting the green beans on the skewers…

 

Once you get the tip in it’s no problem...

 

Tri tip is just one of those cuts of beef that is just amazing!

We only had some Hawaiian rolls so deer sliders it was (6 patties/lb)

 

Needed a quick meal tonight.

Steak, peppers, onions, and roasted baby reds all mixed together and seasoned with olive oil, minced garlic, seasoning salt, Montreal steak seasoning, and a touch of sugar to balance the flavors.

Tomorrow I will mix the leftovers into a frittata
