Contemplating upgrading my Tacoma a bit, it is a 2014 double cab 4x4.
Truck is mint, very few problems with it outside of a sticky brake caliper front driver side.
The vehicle has 200,000 km / 120,000 miles on it, but I intend to keep it for a while yet.

My question is... do you think it is worth it at this point in the truck's life to upgrade / make it look a bit nicer? any increased risk of damaging older mechanical components?
I am thinking about maybe a 2" Rough Country lift, and maybe some 20" rims Black Rhino Delta's.

Nothing wrong with anything you just said.
Don’t go over 3” with a lift if you go that way.
But what you suggested is great

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You must upgrade, immediately. It’s what we do.

200k will mean unhappy ball joints especially with 2.5-3"

Keep a humble 1.5-2" and you won't need to do ball joints as quickly.

If it has original leaf springs it will likely need attention before trying to shove an add-a-leaf or lift block.

Read up and enjoy the truck. Rhinos are cool rims.

My opinion . Lift it a little bit yes. 20-in Wheels no.

I did a "just 2 inch" or so lift, and ended up with a load of other related problems. My truck had around 150k when I did it, and I knew I'd be keeping it much longer, so went for it.

First, I had to change the front differential bearing for the ECGS bushing immediately due to bad rumbling above 20mph.
Then I had to play with multiple driveshaft angles using spacers, angled shims, carrier bearing drop kits, etc...to alleviate driveshaft vibes.
In the process of installing the front shocks and springs, I discovered that my LCA bushings were seized, so I replaced all the LCA hardware.
Then, I had bad alignment, so I eventually ordered new JBA UCAs to get better camber.

Now everything is great for the most part, but it took a while to sort it all out. My truck looks awesome, but it cost about 3x what I expected due to all the related problems from the small lift. I definitely regretted the decision to lift until I got the vibes worked out. After that, it was a simple matter of getting new UCAs, and I was good to go.

Is it worth it? For me, it was. It was a cool project, and I had the time/money to do it back then. For you....? Who can know?
