2016 Tacoma, the heater does not work seat heat not working mirror defroster is not working. Also where the temperature outside reading was working, it says the letter “ E “
No heater instrumentation working at all. Nothing showing on the screen where it was showing my temperature control 24 hours previous
Checked all 20 amp fuses for the heater under the dash under the hood checked all 30 A and 20 A. The only thing that I was not able to check was the big gray and blue relays. Unable to pull them out of holder I think that’s what they would be called.

Thank you for sending me this information !I swapped out the five amp with another five amp fuse, and that didn’t solve the problem. Thank you.

The fuse you have swapped is the always on power source to the A/C amplifier. The ignition source fuse which tells the amplifier to wake up and do it's job is one that also provides similar input to other systems. Since you have no other signs of other systems misbehaving I guestimate the A/C amplifier is non-functional. The amplifier is tied into the door mirror heaters, seat heaters and temp display at combination screen.

The only other symptom that I have that’s not normal is where it says the outside temperature on my dash there is a capital letter E instead of the temperature. I think you may have found the culprit but there is that symptom showing on my dash .
    Thank you

    Thanks very much for input
I took my truck to Toyota. There was a 10 amp fuse that shorted out because of my blinds spot mirror(BSM) One of the sensors is shorting out they replaced the 10 amp fuse so far so good I am going to work on removing rear bumper and changing sensors or sensor

It's one of those it either works or it doesn't. Not meant to be repaired. I'd do a meticulous inspection of the wires to and from the sensors.
