Tires make most of the noise we hear on the highways.

I’m about to get rid of my duratracs because they’re too loud. Love the tire but the highway noise makes phone calls almost impossible

Yup! Its a bumper I made up probably 4 years back now cause I needed a hitch. Super simple and could be replicated in an afternoon in maybe $150 in steel.

Awesome, I think I'm going to copy it. Did you just tie into the factory bumper mounts?

I went straight to the frame, using the factory bumper mounting holes.
I did a whole highlight on how to make it on my instagram @wyatt_offgrid4x4 It has measurements and material lists with some more detail photos as well.

Love my duratracs. Currently have them studded for winter. Pretty aggressive for an AT tire, with little road noise. Aired down to 12psi in snow and does great

Just finding this thread. Thanks for the write up, nicely done.

I'm on my sixth set of Duatracs between my old second gen and current third gen Tacoma. 235/85/16 E. I work in the bush, highways to get there then forestry roads, finally drill trails or decommissioned forestry roads in year road driving conditions.

Winter ice is the one weakness of the tire. I could have them studded but then I have a dedicated winter tires. Instead I get them siped when I buy them and run year round. Not as good as a dedicated winter tires but close enough of a compromise.

I find them very good in mud, lug nut deep slop to clay rich grease.

Snow they churn their way through with ease.,
