I'm not seeing the fuel light.

    Never seen that.
I’ve seen it show 1/8 to 1/4 and be empty.
But full and the light on? No.

It looks like the fuel light is controlled by a chip in the dash.
It’s labeled “Fuel Controller”. If the light worked of the sending unit, you’d expect to see the gauge show near empty.

That symbol is always on with the dash lights.

The orange dot below is when you are low on fuel.

FFS, sorry. I am working on 2 hours of sleep from a crying baby and the wife with less sleep sent me the picture. No need for more responses. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to my dumb ass.

    Been there, good luck!

Also fyi that little arrow next to the gas emblem points to the side the gas filler is on. It’s universal to makes and models (at least all the ones I’ve driven).

No worries! It's all good: Lot's of us here in the: "Been there, done that club." My two boys were both colicky when they were tiny. Talk about screaming! Their bellies sounded like a triple thunderstorm.

... and yet somehow I still manage to occasionally pull up on the wrong side of the truck. especially when the place is jammed-packed and then you have to wait.

I hate it when that happens

When the blinker fluid light comes on, let us know. I am about to be a grampa very excited, now my son can see what it was like to raise him. ;)

I feel ya. My wife drives a VW and the filler is on the opposite side. Alternating between her car and my truck has me frequently mixed up on which is where.

The thing is I KNOW mine is on the drivers side and hers is on the passenger. It’s more just muscle memory/remembering which car I’m driving while on mental auto pilot pulling up to the pump.
