I’m thinking about getting a 3” lift and I’m currently running 265/65r17. Would it be worth the money or will the tires seem to small?

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
There’s a couple of threads in regards of this with photos and all that good stuff. At the end of the day you should ask yourself what’s the long run goal for your truck.

A 3" lift is to much for the Tacoma. Stay at 2" To many problems arise over 2" Here is 2" with stock 265/65r17

With a 3” lift you will have pretty much no downtravel, unless you go extended travel.

1.5”-2” is ideal on these trucks.

265/70/17 looks great with 2” lift IMO.

    When I had 31s:

Was there a large fuel mileage penalty to go up to 265/70-17?

2.5” OME lift, Koenig Six Shooter wheels, 275/70r17 Nokian Outpost AT, CMC, Nitro 4.88s, Greenlane aluminum sliders, CBI aluminum skid, Greenlane aluminum front bumper, Out Gear Solutions HC rear bumper, Baja SAE fogs
Yes it will look too small. 265/70R17 will not incur an MPG penalty if you choose the same tire. Also look at 255/75r17.

It’s personal preference. I’m about to lift mine 2.5”-3” in front and 2” rear (Radflo). I’m going 265/75r16. About 1” taller than the stock tires. I think the offset helps as well. I’m doing 0 offset on the new 16X8’s that are going on with the lift. Like others said, everything you want to know is already on this site somewhere, you just have to search. Good luck and congrats on the lift!
