Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Similar for me, if I were to call it on 1/14, except fewer vacation days. In reality, it will be a little more as I think I'm going to stretch to 3/31.

The weeks just keep getting longer.

    Good morning all.

I have a weekly project review call with the customer. So I’ll spend my day dreaming up excuses why shit I’m assigned but have no authority to have completed didn’t get done.

Long story... but to summarize, I have had a few periods of very extended unemployment (like 1 1/2 -> 2 1/2 years) which lead to burning my entire 401K just to keep the mortgage paid and food on the table, a bankruptcy, and eventually a home foreclosure. I am still financially recovering. So at 56 years old, I basically have no retirement savings, and we just bought a house so the 30 year mortgage clock started over at 0. Our house we sold in CA last summer, we had only been in for barely 3 years, so no equity when we sold it, hence no down payment on the new place.

Life has been a fair bit farkled up for me, between the financial and health issues, but I'm still alive, I currently have the highest paying job I have ever had. So, things are finally looking up. Now I just have to live / work long enough to maybe build up a small retirement savings amount :annoyed::rofl:

Hang in there Tom, yes things don’t always work out. I’m being forced to retire sooner than we planned, but I’m on the right side of the dirt.

    Good morning everybody.

Todays the big day! Wife’s alarm went off at 0330 so she could get ready to go to the hospital with the kids. I tried to dozed back off but it didn’t work. I have to take care of doggie duties before I head to the hospital. Guess I’ll have an extra cup of coffee since I’ve got the time…

Morning and happy Tuesday to all. I'm gearing up for the next phase of fishing after shad fishing. That would be snagging Snakeheads from the bank! Crazy, but youtube it and it's kinda fun.
I'm about 10 yrs from retirement I think. My plan was always to retire at 60. But, I'm about to buy a new boat so....who knows. lol
