Small human-friendly running boards/steps

Hello!
Long time creeper, first time poster-- Mom to (2) small humans (ages four & 1.5), and (1) 2023 TRD Sport as of a couple weeks ago (woo!).
Seeking input on running board/step options that are going to preserve my back (lollll) and allow them to climb up into backseat (with standby support, of course).
Open to both options to consider, as well as avoid.
Aesthetically, I lean toward steps-- but remaining open minded based on y'all's input.

I think the flat, 2nd gen tacoma running boards would work good for little ones. Just make sure you get the right ones double cab v access cab.

 

I like these:
The are wide and deep.
Unlike others your foot can't slip 'out' and in between them.
They have ridges for better foot control.
Make sure you get the right fit ( DCB or Access Cab ).

@RIX TUX that's probably the coolest running board option I have seen, the others I have checked out have been a little blah... but that pattern/design is neat-o

@2021SR5V64WD That's such a good point, I hadn't considered the possibility of little feet sliding between the step-- (oof) but that makes total sense... ty for that

@RustyGreen thank you! Excited to be here! Long time coming... we started searching for a Taco probably a year and a half ago and in current environment (and my old truck needing more and more attention...) finally pre-ordered new. And I'm in love!

I'm very happy with my Steelcraft 4" ovals. Low enough and the right distance out from the body to be an effective step.

 

I have Go Rhino Dominator steps my kiddos love.

 

N-FAB BLACK EPYX STEPS have worked well with my kids.
