Is this real? Lexus GX cheaper than Sequoia by over $30k

I was curious what certified used Sequoias were selling for when I stumbled upon this listing for a 2023. Not sure what its doing on their certified used website but with taxes (NY), that's over $100,000.

It seemed so outrageous I had to see what the Lexus version was selling for so I checked them out. Starting price on the GX is over $30k less... What am I missing here? Did the sequoia start self-identifying as an LX all the sudden or what?

 

Well it’s in New York, the Vampire state. They will suck you dry.

 

Sequoia is based on tundra platform. GX is based on Tacoma/4runner/FJ platform.

 

^Yep, and previous Sequoias always had the same engine as the LX. 1st gen had the 4.7L V8 like the LX470. 2nd gen had the 5.7L V8 like the LX570.

The 2023 Sequoia is mechanically on the same platform as the LX600 but with 3 row seating and a hybrid system... which will likely make the Land Cruiser redundant again in the North American market if Toyota chooses to introduce it.
