On a 2009 Tacoma 2.7L, I need to install an ambient air sensor for getting an overhead console display to show the temperature reading. This overhead console was not factory. Can someone help with this.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Look on your drivers side radiator support if you are prewired with a sensor. on my '10 I was prewired and had the sensor and was able to just swap consoles and it worked perfect

Yes I have a sensor there, but I believe it is used for the AC. I disconnected it and did a continuity test up to my wire block in the upper console, and they don't go there. so I need to add another ambient sensor, but unsure of the proper procedure on wiring it up. I have the compass read out, dimmer, and only the ----f or c for the temperature readout.
