I took out my winter weight, three 2'x2'x2" patio tiles, five sand bags and a set of tires chains along with my tool box. Probably 700lbs.

Now look at the stance LOL.

I'd have a hard time changing anything on such a good looking truck. But I get it.

Travel day today for work. Left Groton this morning and got home to my CaliRaised cat shields and ZPrecision cup holder. Just tossed that stuff on whilst having a cold one !

Initial impressions are very positive- the truck seems more stable through turns, feels like there’s less body roll. Axle wrap wise hard to say if it is in fact improved, but I knew this was a claimed benefit and I did feel like acceleration off the line was smooth and the truck felt very in contact with the road. Ride-wise, there wasn’t any added stiffness, still feels like a soft ride. I went Limited because I heard the TRD suspension is stiffer, I want as comfortable a ride as I can get from a Tacoma. I deliberately went over some railroad crossings with a little added speed, didn’t hear any noise or feel anything from the rear end.

I have them adjusted to 1mm between the coils which is good for about 25% added weight capacity. 2mm gets you about 40%. Time will tell if they need some adjustment, but I definitely like the fact that’s an option.

Disclaimer, this is a work truck, I have an off-road truck, this one will only see pavement, snow and the odd gravel road, but I’m not worried about suspension travel and have no idea how these would react.

They are installed/adjusted while the rear suspension is at full droop with no weight on the rear, so you likely keep the downward wheel travel just fine, don’t care to speculate what these do to uptravel.

I will report back if I see anything to update, so far I got what I suspected/wanted.

I also installed it with screws and nylon locking wing nuts so I could remove it easily and bring about 12 ft of extra cable to position it in camp to get the best light I can.

Awesome write up and photos to go along, this is the content Im here for. Haha.
Couple people have suggested this bracket so I can adjust it with the angle of the sun. This is the route I will go I think. Currently I attached it with nylon wing nuts as you have done. It seems pretty easy to remove and install. I think I am going to give it a go flat to the Prinsu for a weekend trip and see if it preforms well, if not the angle bracket is up next. I like fab'ing stuff so I probs will build one as you have. Thanks for the reply.

24 years active duty and 11 as a contractor for a 3 letter agency has led me to the conclusion that if you take time for beer life has a way of being so much better. Plus the little bullshit that life likes to throw your way every day seems to fade away.
