$7200 + $2000+ install + $500 tune. That's crazy. Have you tried a tune? I was amazed by the difference for $500. (OTT) I know it's not neat hp and torque gain, but huge difference.

Given the likeliness to need to go back and make tweaks and repairs, this is something I’d only consider if I was doing the work myself. I’d hate to be tied to some little performance shop that doesn’t have the resources to make things right, and the likely hood of this is not a “one and done” project.

And according to reviews it sucks at low RPMs.

Amen! There’s no way I would allow anyone outside of a close friend who knows their business to install a super charger on my Tacoma, the risk outweighs the reward. You can’t even get an oil change these days without worrying that the correct oil/amount was used, and that your drain bolt was torqued to spec or even tightened at all. It’s not a difficult installation, maybe a bit tedious, I would do a bit of research and install it yourself.

    + Premium fuel.

OP, are you looking for a shop that specializes in Tacomas? Or one that sells the supercharger?
I would try to find a shop that has experience with installing AND tuning these setups. Might require a road trip, but better to get it right.

Years ago, I bought an entire "cradle" (brake rotor to brake rotor, engine. transmission, etc) out of a totaled out civic that had a super charger kit on it. I bought it for the SC. My buddies that are Honda techs helped me install, and we did a very nice job in short order (of course with factory techs, a lift and dealer specific tools!). Despite doing a top notch job installing, there was still lot of work going back with tinkering, with fuel pumps, fuel pressure regulators, pullies, belts, etc. Of course none were that big of dealer given their work experience and the fact that we installed this kit. I couldn't imagine taking that car back to little shop and having the hard conversations.

That’s why on my new 22 I’m not returning for oil change (I have 4 years free) for now, I’m dropping the oil and running @Amsoil

This obviously depends on your skill level but I'm just a backyard mechanic and would 100% install this kit myself. It doesn't look to bad. The kit looks very well engineered and uses a tvs blower. Magnuson has a great rep and will be as near factory as the aftermarket will offer.

Only part I wouldn't do is tune it if I decided not to run the Magnuson tune.

    OP do it!

OP was looking for a shop to do the install. I am not saying don't do it, what I am saying is; it will very likely need tweaks and adjustments, so the only way is to install yourself; so you can make those adjustments and repairs. This is much better than relying on a small shop that can and/or won't make it right with follow ups.

I run Amsoil in mine, I go 25,000 mile on a oil change using their signature oil. I do change the filter at 5,000 mile intervals.

Not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze on that Supercharger setup. Extremely pricey for minimal gains.

Well i for one am stoked on my Maggie SC. I do have the yotawerx tune too, which really made it come alive. Worth it in my eyes, i have a small truck with full size power
