Chequamegon National Forest Fire Road Update ( Washburn Wi)

A picture I just snapped going by Valhalla Rec Area ( highway C Washburn Wi)looking towards one of of the fire roads that go to the fire tower.
There’s still a fair bit of snow on the fire roads up here so it’ll be a couple of weeks before we can get out on them.
They are forecasting up to 14 inches of snow tonight/ tomorrow.

 

The forecast was wrong,we’ve got 16 inches now here in Washburn and it’s still snowing

 

Still a lot of snow just west of the Valhalla Rec Area west of Washburn Wi .
These pictures were taken Friday morning April 21.
They were taken on Fire road 236 which runs from county highway C south to highway 2 in INO .
