Sequential Mirror Signals, Any Recommendations?

Hey guys,

I have been wanting to upgrade my stock mirror turn signals with sequential signals. I thought that DRL mirror lights would look cool (like the lights on tow mirrors of full-sized pickups).

I did a little research and found these Meso V5 switchbacks.

They are pretty much exactly what I want (plug and play, amber DRL). However, the reviews look very iffy. I do not want a product that is not going to last (if i'm going to spend this much on fricken turn signals they BETTER last!)

My question for you guys that do have or have buddies who run the Meso V5's, do they last? Some of the reviews are saying that they burn out after less than a year, but the sample size of reviews is extremely small. Have you guys had similar experiences or did those reviewers just get lemons?

I am also not absolutely dead set on DRL lights. If these turn out to be duds, what brand or model do you guys recommend? I am getting the Morimoto XB's in the next few weeks so looking for something that would work well with them.

Please let me know if you guys have anything that you personally recommend, I don't really trust reviews when there are only a handful of them!

I did see the Mormoto ones today. If i'm getting the headlights, makes sense to stay in the same brand and I've heard nothing but good things about Morimoto. But I feel your pain on the price of things. The Meso's I want are $150. Only reason why I'd consider it is because they are DRL mirror lights while the Morimoto's are not. If there is a quality set on Amazon, I'm hoping someone lets me know. I guess my two biggest concern is quality (are they well made? will the LED's burn out after a few months?)

 

I have the Meso V5 and DRLs plugged in. I also have puddle pods so mine are wired to the ignition.



The V5 DRL's doesn't stand out as much, but people familiar with the Tacoma would know the difference.
