I wanted to see if anyone has an aftermarket TRD Pro grill they would recommend. I’ve heard fitment and tabs breaking are the norm. I was seriously considering the oem but Toyota Denton wanted 2k and I’m not paying 2k for a grill.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
    Lol

the lol it’s in regards of what the dealers do. Nothing wrong with customizing your truck. As far as I know, they all about the same. Just some places are mark up the piece a little more.

I installed the Taco Vinyl TRD Pro grille. Installation was smooth following their video and no warning lights from the sensor relocation. The reason I went with theirs was their front camera setup but I was very pleased with the overall quality.

I got mine from tacomabeast a few years ago and it went in no problem though removing the OEM one I broke some tabs.

Got mine with lights for $150 and came with what seemed to be OEM Garnish had Toyota scratched off. I have an SR5 so replacing it was a little different from the video I found on youtube but all in all fairly simple to replace. No broken tabs and no issues with the sensor.

I just don't care for the fake-looking garnish. Is there a better way? Even a plain black box would look better to me (e.g., 4Runner style)

Got mine from Taco Garage with TW10 for discount code I believe. I got all black, but they also offer the standard grey. Very high quality and I am please. New grill does not use any of the screws from the old grill - my only con. Raptor lights from Runnin4Tacos (smoked white).

Your picture shows a camera but the grille on their website the grill they still sell says not compatible with the stock camera. Is yours the one that is now listed as out of stock "New Grille Coming Soon" or did you make it work with the grill that says no camera?

Just trying to find the most straightforward solution to getting a TRD Pro look with both my camera and TSS intact. Moving the TSS doesn't concern me, I'm aware of the potential calibration issues (without dropping $400).

@xploit1030 My bad, it's Taco Vinyl not Tacoma Lifestyle. This is what I got, although it was $249 when I bought it. If you order it with the garnish and camera bracket the garnish comes pre-installed on the grille. The bracket is not pre-installed but the grille is prepped for the camera it's literally 2 screws and some automotive tape at the top to mount the bracket to the grille. Was all very straight forward.

Thank you, I stumbled across that one but frankly was hoping for a cheaper alternative. I already have the garnish and the correct mounting bracket for the camera (bought those a while back). I was looking around for an OEM grill (not because that is my desire but the price is just better if you can actually land one) and decided to try Discount Parts Monster using the part number PT228-35200-20 for about $150 shipped (which is the TRD Lift Kit Grill with Black Lettering), for other's reference PT228-35200-AA is the standard Pro grill with silver lettering. If this falls through I was going to try ToyotaPartsDeal which is about $200 with shipping.

No problem. If you already have the garnish and the OEM camera bracket it makes sense to go with the OEM grille.

+1 on the taco garage. I live down the street from them and I had no issues with it and looks good

That looks great, their price is pretty good too. The choice in letter coloring between black and grey, along with having both amber and white raptor lights is a plus since those are both minor tweaks I was interested in. It checks every box except one, unfortunately with no option for a front camera mount I am stuck with either OEM or Taco Vinyl as my only options.
